Neighbours Helping Neighbours
The West Team started its annual community food drive in Monahan Landing in 2021. What began as a neighbourhood initiative has grown into a meaningful tradition supporting the Kanata Food Cupboard.
In 2024, The West Team partnered with the Bridlewood Community Association to expand the food drive and increase its impact across the community.
More Than 120,000 Pounds Donated
Residents fill donation bags with non-expired, non-perishable food and leave them outside for volunteers to collect.
With the generosity of our neighbours, the food drive has collected more than 120,000 pounds of food for the Kanata Food Cupboard, including a record-breaking 39,705 pounds in a single year.
