A Favourite Fall Tradition in Kanata
The West Team’s annual Pumpkin Pick Up Party brings local families and neighbours together at Crownridge Park in Kanata each October. Registered households can pick up a free pumpkin while enjoying a welcoming afternoon of fall activities and community connection.
Pumpkins, Activities and Community Support
The event typically includes family photos, face painting, special guests and other seasonal activities. Guests are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation in support of the Kanata Food Cupboard.
In 2025 alone, more than 250 pumpkins were handed out, continuing a tradition that has grown through the support of local families, volunteers and sponsors.
