Joe's Lake COTTAGE

196 Joe’s Lake in the winter versus in the summer.

Ottawa weather lately has been on a roller coaster making it extremely difficult to prepare ourselves for the day. Luckily, spring is shortly around the corner and The West Team is warming up the blog with some beautiful summer plans – at 196 Joe’s Lake!

Situated along Clyde River, Joe’s Lake offers a prime location to start a well-planned canoe trip. A stretch of 40 kilometers, this route can be done in complete in two days or in 3 shorter trips. Canoeing enthusiasts described the first portion of the trip which includes starting at or near Joe’s lake as “a very pretty section of river.” Joe’s Lake alone offers many opportunities to also pedal boat, fish and kayak and simply explore the land.

The cottage at 196 Joe’s Lake sits on nearly 2 acres creating a vastly unique private haven that you just cannot find in the city. On the days you aren’t playing in your backyard, you can rest on the large deck with a book and enjoy the view, or play cards in the private gazebo under the trees. There is always shade and a fresh breeze.040
